Georgian police detain two Azerbaijanis with large drug shipment

Two Azerbaijani citizens have been detained in Batumi, Georgia, on suspicion of illegal drug trafficking, the country’s Interior Ministry announced.

Individuals identified as A.A. (1995) and S.Z. (1994) have been charged with illegal acquisition and possession of narcotic substances, Caliber.Az reports via Georgian media.

A large quantity of drugs and psychotropic substances was discovered during a search of their temporary residence.

Law enforcement officers also found various materials used for packaging and distributing narcotics. An investigation into the case is ongoing.
