Georgian President's website, opposition TV channels under cyber attack
Georgian media has said that over the past 24 hours, two Georgian opposition TV channels, Formula and Mtavari, have reported a massive hacker attack on their websites. At the same time, the web page of the Georgian Presidential Administration is down for unknown reasons.
Mtavari was the first to report about the attack. Their site was inaccessible for several hours in the morning of January 25. Part of the data stored there was deleted, Caliber.Az reports.
Similar problems were reported by Formula today.
"The web page was inaccessible for several hours, but it was restored. The technical service is finding out the details of the hacker attack," Formula said in a statement.
Apparently, the cyberattack was also committed on the website of the Georgian president, although the administration of Salome Zourabichvili has not yet made any comments on this issue.
Now users see the message "Under Construction" when entering the president.ge website. According to Publika, it has been replaced by an image of bones and a skull with the inscription "HACKED BY COZY BEAR SLAVA RUSSIA".
