Georgian telecom MagtiCom sues Ericsson over contract dispute

The Georgian telecommunications company MagtiCom has filed a lawsuit against Swedish firm Ericsson.
According to the complaint, Ericsson and its Georgian subsidiary failed to fulfil their contractual obligations to MagtiCom, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
The company is seeking contract termination, $17 million in damages, and additional compensation, the amount of which has not yet been determined. The case is being heard at the London International Arbitration Court.
Ericsson has filed a counterclaim, demanding that MagtiCom pay an outstanding amount of $5.3 million, including interest.
MagtiCom’s 2024 financial report states that legal fees related to the dispute have already exceeded $6.4 million.
