Georgian vice speaker slams Armenian lawmakers over Euronest vote

04 November 2025 12:42

Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Nino Tsilosani has sharply criticized the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly’s resolution adopted on October 31, which addresses the political situation in Georgia. The resolution asserts that recent developments in the country have demonstrated a decline in democratic standards.

Tsilosani dismissed the document as baseless and politically motivated, claiming it serves to harm Georgia’s international reputation rather than reflect reality, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.

“Regrettably, several Armenian MPs have, in effect, expressed distrust toward their own prime minister,” Tsilosani stated. “The Prime Minister of Armenia has officially visited Georgia on multiple occasions and engaged with the legitimately elected government. By endorsing a resolution that questions the legitimacy of Georgia’s leadership, these parliamentarians are, in fact, discrediting their own prime minister.”

Tsilosani went on to describe the resolution as meaningless and devoid of substance, asserting that its true purpose is to undermine Georgia.

“This resolution has no real content or justification — it merely seeks to lay yet another stone against Georgia,” she concluded.
