German envoy: Lasting peace between Armenia, Azerbaijan within reach
Lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan is now within reach for the first time in decades, Germany’s Ambassador to Armenia, Claudia Busch, said, emphasising the need for both sides to continue the normalisation process through peaceful cooperation.
In an interview with Armenian media, Busch noted that it is crucial for Yerevan and Baku to take the remaining steps together and resolve outstanding issues amicably. She pointed to recent positive developments, including encouraging moves toward the normalisation of trade, as signs of progress, Caliber.Az reports.
Busch added that Germany will continue to support both Armenia and Azerbaijan as they work toward implementing a lasting peace agreement, underscoring Berlin’s commitment to stability and reconciliation in the South Caucasus.
"For the first time in decades, lasting peace is within reach, and Germany will continue supporting both sides on this path towards implementing it," she said.
