German field hockey team criticizes conditions at Paris Olympic Village
Members of the German national field hockey team have expressed serious concerns about the conditions for athletes in the Olympic Village in Paris, calling for urgent improvements.
The national team player, Christopher Ruhr, complained about food quality, adding that "the food is a disaster, to put it mildly," Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
Ruhr elaborated on the issues, stating, "You wait in the queue for an incredibly long time, the stations are incredibly few. The quality of the food is not very good either."
National team captain Mats Grambusch supported Ruhr's comments, highlighting the logistical problems in the dining areas.
"It takes an incredibly long time because, during peak hours, the canteens are completely overloaded. And then the quality and quantity of the food is not very good because too many people come in at the same time. It's a bit frustrating," he said.
The Paris Olympics run from July 26 to August 11.
