Germany ready to transfer long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine
The chairman of the permanent delegation of the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s parliament) to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Egor Chernov, has said Germany will transfer long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
The MP said that he had received information from his German colleagues about the agreement of key parliamentary factions of the Bundestag about the transfer.
"My friends from the Bundestag have just informed me that key parliamentary factions have reached a consensus on the transfer of long–range Taurus missiles to Ukraine," European Pravda quotes Chernov as saying on his Facebook page.
These missiles hit 500 kilometres and are capable of covering all occupied territories, including the southern coast of Crimea, he added.
"We have been working with German parliamentarians for a long time to form a support group, and now, finally, the ice has broken," the MP stressed.
He added that he expects an official decision from Germany.
