"Drones and anti-drone systems are crucial for Ukraine in the fight against Russian aggression. In The Hague, I am meeting with representatives of the Drone Capability Coalition, which brings together more than 20 countries to support Ukraine. We are investing significantly in this. This strengthens Ukraine, as well as our armed forces and industry."
Established in February 2024 by the United Kingdom and Latvia, the Drone Capability Coalition is a multinational alliance dedicated to providing Ukraine with state-of-the-art unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and other unmanned systems. The Coalition’s overarching mission is to enhance Ukraine’s defence capabilities by facilitating large-scale procurement and operational training for Ukrainian forces, while simultaneously advancing the technological edge of partner nations engaged in unmanned warfare.
The coalition prioritizes sustainable, long-term technological superiority by fostering cooperation among its member states, supporting training programs, and enabling efficient delivery and maintenance of UAV systems essential for modern warfare.
Member countries of the Drone Capability Coalition include Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia (co-coordinator), Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom (co-coordinator).
