The GÖKSUR air defence system will perform air and missile defence missions by preventing threats such as anti-ship missiles, strike/reconnaissance drones, cruise missiles, combat aircraft and helicopters.
GÖKSUR uses the BOZDOĞAN missile, developed by TÜBİTAK-SAGE and modernised to meet the air defence needs of offshore platforms, as an interceptor missile. The GÖKSUR short-range missile system is being developed as part of a product family and offers a solution with three different configurations with a modular design approach.
The GÖKSUR short-range missile system has many features such as 360-degree threat destruction capability, guided missile with next-generation IIR homing head, multi-target intercept capability, autonomous or integrated platform operation and intermediate guidance with data link.
