Golden Globes for 2025: See list of nominees

06 January 2025 11:32

The 2025 Golden Globe Awards, which celebrated the finest achievements in film and television over the past year, saw The Brutalist emerge as the big winner, claiming multiple accolades.

The film, which had been nominated in seven categories, saw Adrien Brody take home his first Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for his portrayal of Brady Corbet, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

Corbet, who also co-wrote the film, earned the Best Director award, and The Brutalist was named Best Motion Picture – Drama.

On the film side, Jacques Audiard’s Emilia Pérez led the nominations with 10 nods, the most of any movie. Recognized in categories including acting, directing, writing, and music, the film earned accolades for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and Best Original Song. Stars Selena Gomez and Zoe Saldaña received acting nominations, with Saldaña ultimately winning Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

Conclave, a thriller about the election of a new pope, garnered six nominations and claimed the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay.

In television, The Bear—which dominated the comedy categories last year—led with five nominations but won only a single award, with Jeremy Allen White being named Best Actor in a Television Comedy or Musical.

Nikki Glaser made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globe Awards solo. The comedian, who had already made a name for herself with The Roast of Tom Brady on Netflix, was nominated for her stand-up special Someday You’ll Die, though the award for Best Comedy Special went to Ali Wong.

The 2025 Golden Globes were broadcast live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+, with replays available from January 6.
