Gunfire erupts at police station in Armenia Foreign suspect injured

A foreigner broke into a police station in the Kotayk region of Armenia on the night of 20 July and opened fire there.

A police officer and the attacker himself, a 45-50-year-old man, were injured. The latter received a gunshot wound in the chest. Both were taken to hospital by ambulance, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia initiated a criminal case in connection with the incident. According to investigators, the shooter is a citizen of another country.
