Hacker group Handala claims famous Iranian blogger works with Mossad
Iranian hacker group Handala claimed to have accessed data linked to one of Iran’s most popular bloggers, Vahid Online, alleging his collaboration with former Mossad deputy and current senior Israeli security official Sima Shein, according to Iranian media.
The group said that Vahid participated for several years in cyber operations and intelligence gathering targeting Iran.
Handala also mentioned his brother, who previously worked for a leading IT infrastructure provider for banks. The group claims that after establishing contacts with Mossad and participating in cyber operations against a bank during the conflict, he left Iran and moved to the United Kingdom.
The cyber group stated that the coordinates of the team managing the Vahid Online account were identified by the Axis of Resistance and targeted with missile strikes.
The materials obtained reportedly allowed Handala to study the blogger’s activities and interactions with Israeli entities. “Hundreds of internal operatives who sent photos and information to the enemy for trivial sums have long been under our surveillance, and their arrests in the coming hours are inevitable,” the statement read.
Handala said the publication of the materials aims to raise awareness of potential cybersecurity threats and the actions of individuals involved in cyber operations against the country.
