Hamas executes dozens of “collaborators” in Gaza VIDEO
Hamas is reportedly seeking to reassert its control in the Gaza Strip following the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement, having killed at least 32 people in a security operation against rival factions challenging its authority.
The movement appears to have received U.S. approval for a temporary role in maintaining security in the devastated territory, Al Arabiya reports.
Two security sources in Gaza said Hamas has been gradually redeploying its forces onto the streets since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, acting cautiously in case the truce suddenly collapses.
On October 13, the group dispatched fighters from its military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, to rescue the remaining live hostages captured two years ago during the attack that triggered the war.
A Gaza security official said that after the ceasefire came into effect, Hamas forces killed 32 members of a “family gang in Gaza City.”
Later on October 13, videos circulating on social media appeared to show several masked gunmen—some wearing the green headbands associated with Hamas—shooting at least seven men kneeling in the street.
According to reports, the footage was filmed in Gaza today. Civilians could be heard chanting “God is great” and calling the slain men “collaborators.”
