Head of Russian drone manufacturer critically injured in car explosion

The chief executive of Russia's Ural Drone Plant, which manufactures the Upyr drones, has been critically injured in a car explosion, according to a Russian state news agency, citing emergency services.

Reportedly, Vladimir Tkachuk is in intensive care in a critical condition following the blast.

"Vladimir Tkachuk was injured in the vehicle explosion. He is in intensive care in a critical condition, and doctors are fighting for his life," a source told the agency.

The source added that a criminal case has been opened under the article covering murder committed by means dangerous to the public.
