Healthcare sector lacks funds in Armenia Minister's statement

Healthcare financing in Armenia is at a very low level.

Armenia’s Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan made these remarks on June, 7, at budget hearings in parliamentary commissions on the execution of the 2021 state budget, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Armenian media.

She said that the healthcare sector's funding scope is only 1.5 per cent of the country's GDP. According to this indicator, Armenia is significantly inferior to both neighbouring countries - Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, and Turkey, and other world states.
