Heatwave approaching Kazakhstan: temperatures to soar up to 30°C

Meteorologists have released the weather forecast for all regions of Kazakhstan from March 26 to 28, predicting heat reaching up to 30°C in some areas, NUR.KZ reports, citing the national hydrometeorological service Kazhydromet.

Most of the country will remain dry under the influence of a large anticyclone, with rain and thunderstorms expected only in western Kazakhstan. On March 28, heavy rain is forecast for the Mangistau region.

Additional precipitation is expected on March 26 in North Kazakhstan and on March 27–28 in East Kazakhstan, including rain and snow. Fog is forecast across the country, and icy conditions will persist in the north and east.

Daytime temperatures are expected to rise as follows:

• West and northwest: +15…+25°C
• North and east: +10…+17°C
• Central regions: +13…+24°C
• South: +21…+30°C
• Southeast: +18…+27°C
• Mountain areas: +10…+15°C

The heatwave is expected to bring unseasonably warm conditions across much of the country.
