Hezbollah claims destruction of Israeli armoured vehicles in Lebanon
Units of the Hezbollah movement said they destroyed Israeli military vehicles during armed operations against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon, claiming hits on three tanks and three armoured personnel carriers, according to a statement published by Hezbollah’s press service on Telegram.
“Drones of the Islamic Resistance targeted occupation forces in the area of Beaufort Castle and the village of Zawtar al-Sharqiya, striking three Namer armoured personnel carriers and one Merkava tank,” the statement read. “Two additional tanks were hit by guided missiles in al-Bayadah near an Israeli military base.”
The group also said its fighters shelled Israeli positions in the village of Haddatha, which it described as recently occupied, using artillery and mortars. According to the statement, the enemy suffered losses in personnel and equipment.
