Hezbollah strikes Israeli intelligence agency
Armed factions of Hezbollah have claimed responsibility for a rocket strike on a suburb of Isral's Tel Aviv city.
Hezbollah members stated that they targeted the headquarters of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. Resistance fighters used a Qader-1 ballistic missile to strike the Mossad, which is responsible for the assassination of a group of commanders and for the explosion of pagers and wireless communication devices in Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
Earlier, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that the air defence system intercepted a ground-to-ground missile launched from Lebanon over Israeli airspace. Hezbollah units have recently launched rocket attacks on the Dado military base in northern Israel, prompting a missile threat alert in Haifa, Nazareth, Yokneam, and across Galilee.
Over 270 rocket launches were reported in total. On September 17 and 18, several explosions involving pagers and other communication devices occurred in Lebanon, resulting in dozens of fatalities and over 3,000 injuries. Hezbollah blamed Israel for the attacks. The Israeli Air Force conducted extensive strikes across Lebanon, including Beirut. On September 20, two military leaders of Hezbollah and 14 field commanders were killed in an attack on the group's headquarters.
On September 23, Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announced the initiation of an offensive Operation "Northern Arrows" aimed at destroying Hezbollah's military infrastructure. According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, as of September 24, Israeli bombardments have resulted in 569 deaths and over 1,800 injuries.
