Hezbollah targets Israel’s military, defence headquarters in Tel Aviv drone attack
Hezbollah stated that it launched a drone attack targeting Israel’s military headquarters and Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv on November 13.
In a statement, the Lebanese militant group said it carried out an “aerial attack with a squadron of exploding drones” on the site housing Israel’s main defence institutions in the commercial hub, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.
The Israeli military issued two statements, claiming that it intercepted two drones and 40 projectiles launched from Lebanon, adding that the attack caused no injuries.
The statements did not specify which sites had been targeted.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military launched a series of airstrikes on Beirut's southern suburbs on November 12, carrying out one of its most intense daytime assaults on the Hezbollah-controlled region. The strikes also targeted central areas of the country, where more than 20 people were reported dead.
Thick smoke rose above Beirut as around a dozen bombs hit the southern suburbs from midmorning onwards.
After issuing warnings to civilians via social media, the Israeli military stated that it had targeted Hezbollah positions in the Dahiyeh district and later claimed to have destroyed the majority of the group's weapons and missile facilities.
