Hong Kong to London flight diverts to Baku airport for medical emergency

A Cathay Pacific flight en route from Hong Kong to London made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport following a passenger's sudden health deterioration.

The Airbus A350, operating flight CX251, landed safely at 19:08 local time after the captain requested the emergency procedure, Caliber.Az reports.

Medical teams were on standby and immediately provided the passenger with initial care before transferring them to a nearby medical facility for further treatment.

Heydar Aliyev International Airport has emphasized its commitment to safety, noting that it regularly conducts emergency response drills to maintain the highest standards of care for passengers and crew alike.
