Houthi leader pledges support for Iran

Abdul Malik al-Houthi, leader of the Shiite movement Ansar Allah, which controls northern Yemen, said his group is prepared to side with Iran in its conflict with the United States and Israel.

He made the remarks on the Al Masirah television channel.

“We are fully prepared for any development in the framework of our… solidarity with the Islamic Republic,” the Houthi leader said, adding that the movement is ready to take action “in various directions.”
