Hundreds of Iranian medical facilities suffer damage since escalation began

At least 400 medical facilities in Iran have been damaged since the start of strikes by the United States and Israel, according to Mehr News Agency, citing the head of Iran’s emergency department Jafar Miadfar.

He said the country’s healthcare sector has suffered significant damage, with 26 medical workers killed and 188 injured. Miadfar also reported damage to 57 emergency bases, 47 ambulances, two air ambulances, and one medical rescue vessel.

Earlier, the head of Iran’s Forensic Medicine Organization Abbas Masjedi said that more than 3,000 people have been killed across the country since the start of what he described as US and Israeli military actions.
