Hungarian official criticizes Zelenskyy's "Victory Plan" as communication trick
The "Victory Plan" of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been labelled a mere communication ploy by Zoltan Kovach, Hungary's Secretary of State for International Communication and Relations.
Kovach described the Ukrainian president's plan as just "a communication trick" and questioned the overall strategy of Europe, stating that it remains unclear what plan the European Union has in place, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He expressed concern that EU leadership is still trying to persuade European nations to support the ongoing war.
"For the past two years, there have been individuals in Europe and America who believe they can defeat Russia. However, it is evident that Ukraine is not winning the war, and there are no chances of achieving a lasting and sustainable peace on the battlefield," Kovach emphasized, advocating for an urgent ceasefire and peace negotiations.
Previously, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán had described Zelenskyy's plan as frightening, asserting that it is impossible to win with such a strategy—only defeat can result, as evidenced by Ukraine's current situation on the battlefield. Budapest has stated that it will not support Kyiv's initiative or participate in its implementation.
