Hybrid warfare being waged against Armenia, official says

Taron Chakhoyan, deputy chief of staff of the Armenian Prime Minister, has raised concerns about a purported plot dubbed "Operation Ring" orchestrated by what he referred to as the fifth column in Armenia.

"The fifth column operating in Armenia has been instructed to carry out Operation Ring. Small groups of several people are trying to block Armenia's interstate roads and cut Armenia off from the outside world,” Chakhoyan wrote on his Facebook page, Caliber.Az reports.

"However, after a few minutes, the roads are opened by police officers.

Information streams also try to say that many roads, including interstate roads, are closed, which is not true.

The hybrid war unleashed against Armenia has one goal: to isolate Armenia, break the resistance and turn the country into a suburb," Chakhoyan writes.
