IAEA chief confirms participation in Moscow’s World Atomic Week

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has expressed his intention to attend the upcoming World Atomic Week scheduled to take place in Moscow from September 25 to 28.

Grossi made the announcement during the opening of Rosatom’s exhibition stand at the 69th session of the IAEA General Conference held in Vienna, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.

Addressing Alexey Likhachev, Rosatom State Corporation Director General, Grossi conveyed his enthusiasm for the event and affirmed his participation.

“Next week you (Rosatom) are opening the World Atomic Week. I will be there with great pleasure,” Grossi remarked, highlighting the significance of the gathering in fostering international dialogue on nuclear energy.

The World Atomic Week in Moscow is expected to draw key stakeholders from across the global nuclear sector, offering a platform to discuss advancements, safety protocols, and cooperation in peaceful nuclear technology.
