IAEA chief to visit Kazakhstan in late May
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency is set to visit Kazakhstan from May 25 to 27, 2026, according to Kazakh media reports.
During the visit, a high-level meeting is scheduled, alongside the signing of a comprehensive roadmap aimed at deepening cooperation between Kazakhstan and the agency over the period from 2026 to 2036.
The agenda also includes the signing of several agreements focused on collaboration in the fields of science and nuclear medicine, reflecting efforts to strengthen institutional and technical ties.
The upcoming visit is expected to enhance Kazakhstan’s engagement with the International Atomic Energy Agency across key areas, particularly in the development of the nuclear sector and the advancement of scientific research.
