IDF strikes Hezbollah training sites and weapons depots across Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces carried out strikes on infrastructure belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah in several areas of Lebanon, the military said.
According to Caliber.Az, the information was confirmed by an IDF spokesperson, who stated that the attacks targeted facilities used by the group for training and operational purposes.
“During the strikes, a training and preparation complex used by the Radwan Forces unit of the terrorist organisation Hezbollah was hit. At this site, militants underwent military training, including live-fire exercises and instruction in the use of various types of weapons, and planned and carried out terrorist operations against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians,” the spokesperson said.
The statement added that several weapons depots and other facilities used by Hezbollah to advance terrorist activity against Israel were also struck. In parallel, the IDF targeted a number of military structures employed by the group to prepare and implement terrorist plans on Lebanese territory.
The IDF emphasised that both the targets hit and the military training conducted by Hezbollah constitute violations of existing agreements between Israel and Lebanon and pose a direct threat to Israel.
The latest strikes followed earlier IDF activity in Lebanon. On December 25, the IDF, acting jointly with the Israel Security Agency, carried out a targeted strike against a terrorist in the Ansariya area of Lebanon. The operation was confirmed in a joint statement issued by the IDF and the Israel Security Agency and published on their official Telegram channel. No additional operational details were disclosed.
The day before, on December 24, the IDF conducted a series of strikes against Hezbollah rocket launchers positioned in southern Lebanon. The IDF press service reported that several launch sites belonging to the group were hit at multiple locations across the region.
