India resumes tea and food exports to Russia

India has resumed exports of tea, rice, fruits, coffee, and seafood to Russia, TASS reports.

Containers with these Indian products were sent to Russian importers a week earlier.

Deliveries of these products from India to the Russian Federation almost ceased after the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine on February 24. The reason was the difficulties in delivery and settlements between Indian and Russian partners.

Trade payments are now made in rupees and rubles, with some banks conducting such transactions in euros.

There is currently no official confirmation of information about the resumption of deliveries.
