Russia claims interception of 55 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defence forces have reportedly intercepted and destroyed 55 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) overnight in what appears to be one of the largest drone attacks in recent weeks.

According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, as cited by Caliber.Az, the drones were of the fixed-wing type and were neutralised over various regions of the country, as well as over the Black Sea.

“Air defence units intercepted and destroyed 55 fixed-wing Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles: 32 UAVs over Belgorod Region, 12 over Voronezh Region, 6 over the Black Sea, 3 over Lipetsk Region, 1 over Rostov Region, and 1 over Kursk Region,” the ministry stated.
