Indian airline suspends flights to Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia

Indian airline IndiGo has temporarily suspended flights to Tashkent, Almaty, Baku and Tbilisi due to a deterioration in the regional geopolitical situation linked to tensions around Iran.

The suspension affects flights scheduled for January 26–28. The decision was taken amid risks in the region’s airspace and in line with security recommendations, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

The airline stated that it continues to closely monitor developments and adjust its schedule accordingly to minimise risks to passengers and crew. No timeline for the resumption of flights has been announced.
