Internet cut in Iran for over 72 hours amid regional tensions
03 March 2026 12:47
Iran has been without internet for more than 72 hours, leaving much of the country isolated from the outside world amid escalating regional conflict, according to NetBlocks, the watchdog organisation that monitors cybersecurity and the governance of the Internet.
“Iran's internet blackout has entered its fourth day, with the national censorship measure now in place for over 72 hours. The silencing of authentic Iranian voices is fueling a surge in misinformation as pro-regime accounts fill the void with their own narrative,” the organisation said on X, per Caliber.Az.
