Investigation finds Armenian soldier voluntarily abandoned border position in September 2022
Among the individuals entangled in the criminal case initiated in Armenia for service negligence during the September 2022 escalation on the conditional Azerbaijani-Armenian border, conscripts are also being reviewed.

Manvel Muradyan, a member of the Armenian Armed Forces, was indicted and accused of refusing to perform certain duties, as reported by the publication, which elaborates by reporting, that since September 13, Muradyan has been on combat duty at one of the forward positions. Six days later, the soldier left the position without permission, and on September 21, reported to the military police. The publication does not report on the measure of restraint.
Earlier, the representative of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Perch Aivazyan, reported that a total of 16 Armenian soldiers are involved in the case, of which six have been arrested. The charges relate mainly to their failure to perform official duties during combat, failure to report in time for the purpose of evading service, and violation of the rules of military service.
