Iran accuses Europe of enabling US, Israeli attacks
Iran has accused European countries, including France, of helping create the conditions that led to attacks on the Islamic Republic by the United States and Israel, effectively provoking the ongoing conflict.
“European countries have unfortunately helped create these conditions,” said Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, during a weekly press briefing, France 24 reports.
He criticized Europe for what he described as a failure to uphold international law: “Instead of insisting on the rule of law, instead of standing up to the bullying and excesses of the United States, they spoke and agreed with them at the UN Security Council regarding the discussion on restoring sanctions. All these things together emboldened the American and Zionist parties to continue committing their crimes,” Baghaei added.
