Iran accuses US of “big lie” over nuclear claims
Iran has accused the United States of spreading false claims about its nuclear program, with Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei rejecting allegations that Iran is seeking to develop nuclear weapons.
In a post on the social media platform X, Baghaei responded to remarks by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, asserting that Washington is using what he described as misinformation to justify its actions, as per Caliber.Az reports.
The #UnitedStates authorities are repeating a “big lie”—namely, “#Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon”—to justify their illegal war against Iran.

“The United States authorities are repeating a ‘big lie’ — namely, ‘Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon’ — to justify their illegal war against Iran,” he wrote.
Baghaei further called on the international community to reject the US narrative, arguing that the conflict lacks any legitimate basis.
“The world, the American people, the region, Europe, and the broader international community must recognise that this is a brutal, unprovoked act of aggression, lacking any legal, logical, or moral justification,” he said.
“This is an UNJUST WAR — one that cannot be sold to the world through the repetition of falsehoods, nor justified by petty excuses,” he added.
