Iran Air resumes Tehran–Istanbul flights after two-month suspension
03 February 2026 13:29
Iran Air, the country’s flagship carrier, has announced the resumption of its Tehran–Istanbul round-trip flights as of February 3, ending a nearly two-month suspension.
The airline had halted services on this route on December 7, 2025, citing disruptions in international payment and settlement systems, alongside operational challenges with ground handling services at Istanbul Airport, Caliber.Az reports via Iranian media.
According to the airline, flights between Tehran and Istanbul will operate daily from Tuesday through Friday during the current week, offering approximately 500 seats per round-trip.
With eight weekly flights, a total of 2,000 seats are available to meet passenger demand.
