Iran announces missile attack on US-operated airbase in Jordan
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it had carried out a missile strike on Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, a facility used by the United States military.
According to the IRGC, as reported by Fars News Agency, the attack destroyed the base’s command center and hangars housing MQ-9 drones.
“In the first phase of this response, they struck important military infrastructure and facilities at Prince Hassan Air Base in Jordan, destroying the base’s command center and MQ-9 drone hangars with several ballistic missiles,” the IRGC said in a statement.
The corps described the operation as the first stage of its response to US actions and warned that “more severe measures” would follow if strikes against Iranian territory continue.
