Iran, Armenia hold talks amid escalating regional tensions
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan, during which he stressed that Iran is in a state of full-scale war in response to what he described as the “illegal and unjustified US and Israeli invasion of Iran.”
Araghchi stated that Iran has carried out targeted strikes against Israel and US bases in the region and is prepared both to defend itself and to “avenge the death of its martyr-leader,” Khabar Fouri reports.
Mirzoyan conveyed his condolences over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader and the loss of civilian lives, including women and children. He also reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to provide humanitarian assistance and expressed hope for a diplomatic resolution to the unfolding crisis.
