Iran arrests 13 over alleged militant links and attack plots
Iranian authorities have arrested 13 individuals on suspicion of links to militant groups and involvement in planning attacks on government facilities, according to a statement by the Ministry of Intelligence of Iran.
As reported by Iran International, the arrests were announced on Thursday, March 26, and carried out across several regions of the country.
According to the ministry, four of the suspects were detained in Kermanshah, where they are accused of belonging to a group allegedly led by an individual based in Germany.
Authorities said that five additional suspects were arrested in Alborz Province, while another four were detained in Kerman.
The ministry added that security forces seized improvised explosive devices, a pistol, and three Starlink devices during the operation.
