Iran arrests 36 alleged Israeli and US agents in Khuzestan
Iran’s domestic security service has arrested 36 individuals accused of acting as agents for Israel and the United States in the southwestern province of Khuzestan, Islam Times reports.
The public relations office of Khuzestan’s internal security forces stated that the suspects, linked to separatist, pro-monarchy, Takfiri, and “hypocritical” groups, had planned actions against national security, taking advantage of wartime conditions and aligning with what the statement called “the Zionist enemy and global arrogance.”
Authorities seized three firearms and 45 rounds of ammunition from those involved in photographing and recording sensitive sites.
The detainees were also reportedly connected to the Iran International channel, which the security service described as operating “as a media mouthpiece for the Zionist entity.”
