Iran arrests 500 in massive spy network crackdown

Iranian law enforcement authorities have arrested at least 500 individuals suspected of collaborating with enemy forces, Iranian police chief Reza Radan told state broadcaster IRIB.

Radan stated that 500 spies who had been passing information to the enemy and anti-Iranian media were detained.

He added that 250 of the detainees were providing coordinates for attacks, maintaining contact with foreign military personnel, and attempting to disrupt public order.
