Iran arrests 54 alleged agents linked to US, Israel
Iran’s Intelligence Ministry has announced the arrest of 54 individuals described as agents linked to the United States and Israel across four provinces, ISNA reports.
According to the ministry, 41 of those detained had transmitted information about checkpoints and defensive facilities in Tehran to an Israeli media centre, with the aim of facilitating bomb attacks using residential buildings.
In Fars province, authorities detained five members of two suspected terrorist cells, who were found in possession of improvised explosive devices and bladed weapons.
Additionally, eight individuals described as US-Israeli agents with alleged ties to terrorist groups were arrested in Gilan and Kermanshah provinces. Two pistols were reportedly seized from them.
