Iran authorizes 32 vessels to pass through Strait of Hormuz

Some 32 vessels were granted permission to pass through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours after coordinating with the navy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and other maritime authorities, Iran International reports.

According to the report, five supertankers were also authorized to transit the strategic waterway following approval from Iranian authorities, particularly the IRGC navy.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical maritime chokepoints, serving as a major route for global oil shipments amid heightened regional tensions.
