Iran boosts arms production despite US strikes, official says

Iran’s defence industry is accelerating the manufacturing of critical military hardware with a primary focus on missile systems and naval assets, according to statements made by Acting Defence Minister Brigadier General Majid Ebnolreza to the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Wednesday, July 29.

Speaking on the operational status of the country's defence enterprises, Ebnolreza asserted that weapon production assembly lines across the nation are currently operating "more actively than ever."

The acting defence minister directly dismissed the long-term impact of recent military operations, asserting that American strikes against strategic defence facilities had failed to disrupt or halt domestic military manufacturing.

Ebnolreza’s assertions stand in sharp contrast to assessments issued by Washington. The U.S. Department of Defence has repeatedly claimed in recent statements that military action severely degraded Iran's defence-industrial capacity, maintaining that the country's ability to manufacture ballistic missiles was effectively destroyed.
