Iran calls 10-point plan “red line” in negotiations
Iran intends to dictate the terms of any future settlement in the conflict with Israel and the United States, presenting itself as the victorious side, according to statements made by a senior lawmaker.
Chairman of the Iranian parliament’s internal affairs committee Mohammad Saleh Jokar said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that a 10-point plan represents a “red line” for Tehran and will serve as the foundation for any negotiations.
Jokar said that conditions are determined by the side that has prevailed on the battlefield, not by a government he described as having failed and caused destruction, adding that the United States must accept Iran’s terms.
He added that Iran “has never trusted the United States” and sees no alternative but to “become stronger.” The lawmaker also called on US military forces to withdraw from the region.
