Iran calls on US to comply with memorandum of understanding

The Iranian armed forces have urged the United States to abide by the terms of a memorandum of understanding, army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said.

He also argued that Washington’s involvement through the creation of what he described as an “unlawful passage” in the Strait of Hormuz is undermining regional security, according to Iranian media.

“Armed forces firmly defend the rights of the Iranian people in the Strait of Hormuz,” Akraminia emphasised.
