Iran claims strikes on US-linked targets amid explosions across country VIDEO
Iranian state-affiliated media on July 20 reported a series of attacks targeting U.S.- and Israel-linked sites across the Middle East, while explosions were also reported in several cities across Iran.
According to the Tasnim and Mehr news agencies, as well as media outlets affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the IRGC said it had launched strikes against a special operations command center near the U.S. al-Tanf base in southeastern Syria and a military base in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. The IRGC also claimed that Iranian missiles struck U.S. military facilities near Aqaba Airport in Jordan.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported explosions in several locations across the country, including Tabriz, Chabahar, Bandar Abbas, Jask, Sirik, and other cities. Mehr News Agency reported that Iran's air defence systems intercepted and shot down a drone in the country's south, though it did not provide further details on the drone's origin.
