Iran claims US approved Israeli assassination of Hamas leader

Iranian intelligence has accused the United States of tacitly endorsing Israel's plan to assassinate Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Hamas political bureau.

According to a statement by Esmail Khatib, Iran's Minister of Intelligence, the US was aware of the operation and did not obstruct it, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

Khatib condemned the assassination as a brutal act by the "Zionist invaders" and highlighted it as evidence of the alleged cruelty of the Israeli regime.
