Iran claims US drone shot down, US denies report

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it shot down a U.S. MQ-9 drone over the Bushehr region in southern Iran.

The claim was made via an IRGC-affiliated Telegram channel, which stated that the drone was intercepted by a surface-to-air missile.

However, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) later denied the report, saying that no American aircraft had been shot down.
