Iran confirms heavy toll from Israeli operation: 627 dead, thousands wounded

Iran’s Health Ministry has released updated figures on casualties resulting from the ongoing Israeli military operation, reporting a death toll of at least 627 fatalities since the campaign commenced on the night of June 13.

The ministry also confirmed that over 4,870 individuals have sustained injuries of varying severity across the country, Caliber.Az reports.

In an official statement posted on X, the ministry detailed that the hardest-hit areas were Tehran and Kermanshah, underscoring the widespread impact of the hostilities.

“86.1 per cent of the dead died on the spot, while the rest died in medical institutions,” the statement clarified, highlighting the immediacy and severity of the strikes.
