Iran confirms Supreme Leader in good health, to appear soon

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, is in good health and is expected to make a public appearance in due course, the country’s Foreign Ministry confirmed.

The statement came from ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei in an interview with the Egyptian news portal Al-Masry al-Youm.

“There is a lot of speculation about this, but I assure you, he is fine. I do not find it surprising that, given the military situation, some time may pass before he appears publicly,” Baghaei said.

He further reassured that, despite ongoing circumstances, “the governance of the state and the organization of its defence are being carried out effectively.”
